In Which I Introduce Myself

Blog time.  The name's Katherine, and please, wear it out.  I'm going to try and put myself out there into the wide world of journalism, and hopefully someone will take notice!  I'm going to make the effort to blog every day, but I make no promises.  My goals are simple:  I want to be KNOWN.  I want to be PUBLISHED.  I want to be a successful writer.  I'm looking forward to getting back into school so I can learn everything I possibly can about writing and our beautiful, albeit confusing, language.  I should let you know that I use the Oxford comma, so expect commas everywhere in my writing.  If I place a comma somewhere, you're going to pause, damn it.  I expect little in return other than to get my writing out there, and hopefully I will reach my goals in a timely manner.  I will talk about something different every day, although I may refer back to previous blogs.  I will try to keep my blogs short, so you won't get bored, and I won't wreck my hands typing.  I am a serial emoticon-user, but I'll refrain from using them in my blogs.  I am quite arrogant when it comes to English, whether it be grammar or spelling, so I apologize in advance if I rant a bit on the subject.  I will keep my blogs light and funny as well, because I believe that we that go about our daily grind need something to smile at every day, and I intend to bring it to you!  Your first smile, straight from me to you, is this dog, whose picture makes me giggle every time I see it.
